    Rebecca Bates Ison is a nursing instructor for Bluegrass Community and Technical College and a former high school science teacher. She has a passion for helping young people and spends most of her free time working with two of Winchester's Scouting America units. When she is not scrambling through the woods or helping scouts advance their skills, she enjoys relaxing on the back porch with her family and dogs.
