2026 City, County, and State Candidate and Election Information

These info­graph­ics are a quick guide to the city, coun­ty, and state elect­ed offi­cials who serve Clark County, as well as the 2026 pri­ma­ry elec­tions, which will take place in May. Voter information

The 2026 Primary Election is on May 19, 2026. (For ear­ly vot­ing dates, see the Kentucky elec­tion cycle link under the “Need more infor­ma­tion” head­ing.) The dead­line to reg­is­ter to vote in the 2026 Primary Election is April 20, 2026, no lat­er than 4:00 PM local time. Kentucky con­ducts closed pri­maries. Under Kentucky law, all per­sons who want to vote in the Democratic Party’s or Republican Party’s Primary Election must have changed their par­ty affil­i­a­tion by December 31 of the year pri­or to the next Primary Election.

You may reg­is­ter to vote in Kentucky as a 17-year-old if you will be 18 years old by the next General Election, which will be November 3, 2026.
