2026 City, County, and State Candidate and Election Information
These infographics are a quick guide to the city, county, and state elected officials who serve Clark County, as well as the 2026 primary elections, which will take place in May. Voter information
The 2026 Primary Election is on May 19, 2026. (For early voting dates, see the Kentucky election cycle link under the “Need more information” heading.) The deadline to register to vote in the 2026 Primary Election is April 20, 2026, no later than 4:00 PM local time. Kentucky conducts closed primaries. Under Kentucky law, all persons who want to vote in the Democratic Party’s or Republican Party’s Primary Election must have changed their party affiliation by December 31 of the year prior to the next Primary Election.
You may register to vote in Kentucky as a 17-year-old if you will be 18 years old by the next General Election, which will be November 3, 2026.
