Nancy Gift: “My Dad and David, too”

This is part of a series of videos we will be post­ing to our YouTube chan­nel over the next few weeks. Ten local sto­ry­tellers par­tic­i­pat­ed in the sec­ond annu­al “The Voices of Winchester: A Night of Storytelling” event was held on October 6, 2023 at the Leeds Center for the Arts in down­town Winchester. 

Nancy Gift is a for­mer Winchester res­i­dent and pro­fes­sor of sus­tain­abil­i­ty at Berea College. She is mar­ried to Jim Trimble, a mom to Emily and Hazel, and a step­mom to Riley. She’s the author of “A Weed by Any Other Name” and “Good Weed, Bad Weed,” as well as a text­book. Nancy and Jim recent­ly moved to New York state, where she is Executive Director at Cornell Coöperative Extension of Wayne County.

Nancy was one of our local sto­ry­tellers at the 2023 Voices of Winchester: A Night of Storytelling event. Her sto­ry is titled “My Dad and David, too.”
