Bill Frisell — east / west
Adra and I saw Bill Frisell perform in Louisville around the same time this was recorded. The show was good, and this live performance album released in 2005 is good too. Two weeks ago, Jeff’s Playlist featured Frisell in The Ginger Baker Trio. Frisell has played and recorded with a vast array of ensembles and has a wide range of music available.
I particularly like Frisell’s live shows in a trio format such as this. Next week’s Playlist will feature Further East / Further West, a continuation of these performances.
Give this a try, you might like it.
