Representatives of local charities participating in the 2024 Good Giving campaign are encouraged to submit informational pieces such as this one to our Your Voice feature.

Legacy Greenscapes, formed as a nonprofit organization in 2017, provides the people of Clark County with a fun, clean, safe, and beautiful public space.

Beginning in 2012, The Greater Clark Foundation brought together people to share their dreams and ideas for transforming the former apple grove and Clark County Hospital campus to a public park and green space.

Today, Legacy Grove is open to the public every day and features an innovative children’s play area, a walking trail, two dog parks, and a nature area. The free programs and activities benefiting the community were recognized when the Chamber of Commerce awarded Legacy Greenscapes with the 2023 Non-Profit of the Year Award. Just a few of the many activities include:

  • Rockin’Paint
  • Discovery Days
  • Earth Day Celebration
  • Star Parties
  • Legacy Nights Concerts
  • Art Discovery Days
  • Howl O’Ween
  • Dia De Los Muertes Festival

Legacy Grove brings people in our community together by engaging all stakeholders and amplifying the saying, “Great communities have great parks.”

Our privately owned public park operates primarily on contributions from families, businesses, and corporations. This generosity assures continued programming opportunities and free access to all activities and year-long park maintenance.

Thank you, Winchester/Clark County people, for your past support. We ask that you remember Legacy Greenscapes in this year’s Good Giving campaign, which starts December 3 and runs through December 6.
