It appears that after two postponements and a cancellation due to weather forecasts ranging from torrential downpours to severe thunderstorms, the 2025 edition of the Legacy Nights concert series at Legacy Grove Park will finally kick off tonight! The weatherman seems to be finally cooperating, and we will get to witness what looks to be a fantastic performer under dry skies.
According to a bulletin from Legacy Greenscapes, “Precious Perez is the self-proclaimed ‘the blind reggaetonera’. Professionally trained, her sound is a blend of American and Latin music genres, tapping into her Puerto Rican roots.”
Like all these events, the music is the main—but far from the only—reason to come out an enjoy a fun evening.
There will be food trucks, including Mama D’s Eats and Treats, 305 Cubano, and Hudson & Nash Ice Cream. And for adult beverages, there will be beer, wine, and spirits at a bar set up by Regeneration Distillery Co.
In addition, local businesses and organizations will have tents set up. WinCity Voices will be there and we invite you to stop by and hang out with us.
Food trucks will be open at 5 PM, and the music starts at 5:30. The theme tonight is “Dogs’ Night,” and your (leashed) four-legged friend is invited for a doggy pool, treats, and dog-themed vendors Hound and Horse Bakery and The Bark & The Purr. And FairyTails Pet Adoptions will be out with adoptable dogs.
According to Legacy Greenscapes, the May 13 concert, which was to feature The Yellow Dog Jazz Band, has been canceled and will be rescheduled for next year. There are four more concerts planned for this summer, including Vudu Childe on July 8th, 10:50 ARRIVAL on August 12th, Melanie A. Davis & the Maddness on September 9th, and Rock University from Leeds on October 14th .
