This is the com­pan­ion disk to an ear­li­er post on Jeff’s Playlist: Jeff’s Playlist: Rough and Ready.

Jeff Beck Group was released in 1972 with the same line­up of musi­cians as Rough and Ready. This is a fine record; I love this group. Jeff Beck is fab­u­lous as usu­al, but I par­tic­u­lar­ly like Bobby Tench’s “strained” vocals with so much soul. Combined with Clive Chaman’s bass, Max Middleton’s key­boards, and per­cus­sion by Cozy Powell, who could go wrong? This is anoth­er fine Jeff Beck Group release.

RIP Geoffrey Arnold Beck (June 24, 1944 – January 10, 2023). We are all going to miss you.
