I remem­ber the first time I heard this album. I was rid­ing with a friend in his black AMC Gremlin down Country Club Lane in Hoptown, lis­ten­ing to an eight-track tape play­er. It was amaz­ing. It had to have been the sum­mer of 1973, right before my senior year. I was rid­ing pret­ty high. Thanks, Bill.

This one takes a minute to get going, so set the vol­ume, sit back, and let it kick in. Roger Waters does an excel­lent job with the lyrics, and Gilmore, Mason, and Wright han­dle the music. This has got to be one of the finest rock albums of all time.
