Today we cel­e­brate Jerry Garcia’s birth­day (August 1, 1942) and the day he died at 53 (August 9, 1995).

This is Garcia’s sec­ond solo effort and a real doozy. It’s a very quirky album for sure; it took some time to grow on me. But like all Garcia stuff, it took hold and nev­er let go.
