Last spring at RDC — formerly GRC — a “treasure trove” of military items, personal items, and many other artifacts was rediscovered by the RDC cafeteria staff behind a wall, long forgotten when a stairwell was enclosed.
The items were brought to the museum, where staff and volunteers began to archive, identify, and properly preserve these items. Many of the items had a card with the donor or loaner’s name.
Jerry Cecil will highlight the military items and place them in context with Armistice Day. The program will take place at the museum this Thursday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m.
