Foghat

This is basi­cal­ly the fol­low-up album to last week’s playlist: Savoy Brown’s Looking In. Minus Kim Simmonds and includ­ing Rod Price on lead gui­tar, the trio of Dave Peverett, Roger Earl, and Tone Stevens went on to fame as Foghat. On this, their debut album, Foghat led off with a song that became an anthem to teenage boys the world over — Willie Dixon’s “I Just Want to Make Love to You.”

This was a great album for our times and, for me, a clas­sic. If you’ve nev­er heard it before give it a lis­ten, you might enjoy it.
