Ralph Harrison is running for a seat on the Winchester Board of Commissioners to bring common sense to city government, he says.
This isn’t his first campaign. In the past, he has run several times for mayor and city commissioner, most recently in 2024, when he finished seventh in a seven-candidate race with 1,290 votes.
Harrison said in a candidate survey that he has run for public office for the past 16 years.
“I can help the community with common sense,” he said.
Harrison said he is “interested in working to make things better for the community” in several ways, including supporting affordable housing, extending the city limits so that Winchester can have more new factories, and providing more things for children to do.
