Jeff’s Playlist: Blind Faith

I’ve decided to kick off my first attempt at music blogging by listening to Blind Faith’s only release. I’ve been listening to this album (thanks to my older brother) for close to 50 years and have loved it ever since the first time.

Eric Clapton has remained a favorite of mine through all those years, although recently I have disagreed with his stance on vaccinations. I’ll forgive him for this obvious blunder.

This album contains songs that have become Clapton and Winwood staples in their live performances like Had to Cry Today and Can’t Find My Way Home. The original album (CD) is still available and there’s been an anniversary release.

The music is clear, hard-driving, and inspirational — it will get you going in the morning. Bassist Ric Grech died in 1990 and drummer Ginger Baker passed in 2019, but Clapton and Winwood are very much alive and are still releasing new music.

Enjoy!
