Clark County Community Foundation and the Hodgkin Family Foundation, both charÂiÂtaÂble funds of Blue Grass Community Foundation, have announced a comÂbined $450,000 in matchÂing funds to supÂport Clark County nonÂprofÂit orgaÂniÂzaÂtions durÂing this year’s Bluegrass Gives online givÂing event on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, from 6 am to midÂnight at www.BGgives.org.
Formerly known as the GoodGiving Challenge, Bluegrass Gives is hostÂed by Blue Grass Community Foundation in partÂnerÂship with Smiley Pete Publishing. This annuÂal fundraisÂer, now in its 15th year, makes it easy and fun for donors to supÂport local nonÂprofÂits across Central and Appalachia Kentucky. Since 2011, the colÂlecÂtive givÂing camÂpaign has helped tens of thouÂsands of donors invest more than $26 milÂlion in hunÂdreds of charÂiÂties across the region.
This year, 33 Clark County nonÂprofÂits have regÂisÂtered to parÂticÂiÂpate in Bluegrass Gives. Of these, 15 orgaÂniÂzaÂtions were selectÂed through an appliÂcaÂtion process to receive up to $10,000 each in dolÂlar-for-dolÂlar matchÂing funds from Clark County Community Foundation. Thanks to a $300,000 conÂtriÂbuÂtion from the Hodgkin Family Foundation, those same 15 orgaÂniÂzaÂtions will also receive an addiÂtionÂal two-dolÂlar match on the first $10,000 donatÂed, raisÂing the total Clark County match pool to $450,000.
“These funds will help supÂport our nonÂprofÂit orgaÂniÂzaÂtions in the needÂed work they do for Clark County, while also increasÂing the impact of donors’ conÂtriÂbuÂtions,” said Halee Cunningham, adminÂisÂtraÂtor of the Clark County Community Foundation. “Between the Hodgkin Family Foundation match and the Clark County Community Foundation match, a $10 gift to an eliÂgiÂble nonÂprofÂit can result in $40 of impact.”
“While our resources aren’t infiÂnite, our comÂmitÂment to Clark County remains strong,” added Cunningham. “This year, we introÂduced an appliÂcaÂtion process to ensure we could tarÂget our match dolÂlars where they would have the most impact, while also using grant funds to supÂport othÂer nonÂprofÂit grant requests throughÂout the year, includÂing a future high-impact project that will benÂeÂfit thouÂsands of local chilÂdren and families.”
“Clark County’s nonÂprofÂits play a vital role in improvÂing qualÂiÂty of life for our comÂmuÂniÂty,” said Will Glasscock, chair of the Clark County Community Foundation. “We encourÂage all donors to visÂit BGgives.org to learn more about these orgaÂniÂzaÂtions and give genÂerÂousÂly on Giving Tuesday.”
