Legally Blonde: The Musical Takes Center Stage This August

Get ready to expe­ri­ence the vibrant ener­gy and empow­er­ing sto­ry of “Legally Blonde: The Musical” as it comes to the Leeds Center for the Arts this sum­mer. From August 9 to August 25, 2024, audi­ences are invit­ed to join Leeds for this beloved musi­cal com­e­dy that promis­es laugh­ter, love, and unfor­get­table performances.

Co-direct­ed and chore­o­graphed by Ellie Miller and co-direct­ed and music direct­ed by Steve
Crosby, this pro­duc­tion of “Legally Blonde” promis­es to daz­zle audi­ences with its infec­tious music, dynam­ic chore­og­ra­phy, and a tal­ent­ed cast that brings the beloved char­ac­ters to life on stage.

“We are thrilled to bring ‘Legally Blonde: The Musical’ to Winchester this year,” said Ellie Miller, co-direc­tor and chore­o­g­ra­ph­er. “It’s a sto­ry that res­onates with audi­ences of all ages, cel­e­brat­ing empow­er­ment, deter­mi­na­tion, and the pow­er of stay­ing true to oneself.”

Based on the hit movie star­ring Reese Witherspoon, “Legally Blonde: The Musical” fol­lows the trans­for­ma­tion of Elle Woods as she tack­les stereo­types and scan­dal in pur­suit of her dreams. With music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, this Tony Award-nom­i­nat­ed musi­cal fea­tures mem­o­rable songs such as “Omigod You Guys,” “Bend and Snap,” and “Legally Blonde.”

Steve Crosby, co-direc­tor and music direc­tor, added, “The music in this show is incred­i­bly
catchy and fun. Audiences can expect a high-ener­gy pro­duc­tion that will have them singing
along and laugh­ing throughout.”

Performances will take place on August 9–11, 16–18, and 23–25, 2024, at the Leeds Center for the Arts, locat­ed at 37 N Main St, Winchester, KY. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:30 PM. Tickets are avail­able for pur­chase online at www.leedscenter.org or by vis­it­ing the Leeds Center for the Arts box office one hour pri­or to showtime.
