Get ready to experience the vibrant energy and empowering story of “Legally Blonde: The Musical” as it comes to the Leeds Center for the Arts this summer. From August 9 to August 25, 2024, audiences are invited to join Leeds for this beloved musical comedy that promises laughter, love, and unforgettable performances.
Co-directed and choreographed by Ellie Miller and co-directed and music directed by Steve
Crosby, this production of “Legally Blonde” promises to dazzle audiences with its infectious music, dynamic choreography, and a talented cast that brings the beloved characters to life on stage.
“We are thrilled to bring ‘Legally Blonde: The Musical’ to Winchester this year,” said Ellie Miller, co-director and choreographer. “It’s a story that resonates with audiences of all ages, celebrating empowerment, determination, and the power of staying true to oneself.”
Based on the hit movie starring Reese Witherspoon, “Legally Blonde: The Musical” follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. With music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, this Tony Award-nominated musical features memorable songs such as “Omigod You Guys,” “Bend and Snap,” and “Legally Blonde.”
Steve Crosby, co-director and music director, added, “The music in this show is incredibly
catchy and fun. Audiences can expect a high-energy production that will have them singing
along and laughing throughout.”
Performances will take place on August 9–11, 16–18, and 23–25, 2024, at the Leeds Center for the Arts, located at 37 N Main St, Winchester, KY. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:30 PM.
