The next No Kings rally in Winchester will take place on Saturday, October 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Clark County Courthouse.
Besides energizing voters, the event, billed as a National Day of Action, will encourage people to vote early or make a plan to vote.
Organizers also call the event a chance to “be heard and to participate in an array of actionable events,” meet others doing good things in the community, and learn how to get more involved.
Attendees will be able to check their polling location, sign petitions, and protest the actions of the Trump administration while engaging with like-minded people in the community.
Local issues at stake include Flock cameras and data centers.
Candidates in local elections will be present to rally voters and talk about plans to move the community forward. But organizers emphasize that the rally is not only about firing up voters but also about promoting actions that strengthen the community.

For example, participants in the rally are asked to bring food items for a food drive organized by “The Rads,” a local group that gives out free meals in Legacy Grove Park every Wednesday.
A local program that is not associated with No Kings will offer rides to the polls on Election Day. People wishing to volunteer to help drive voters to the polls can register here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc47kcBpOg521hFr9KPcqWL3qy7e3nub7H1rR_0iyaoMbGzLA/viewform?usp=preview
