Winter Waterfall

Last Saturday was a pleasant sunny winter day, a good day to take a walk through the woods. My wife and I chose a trail that leads to a pretty 75-foot waterfall. We’ve been here many times, and I’ve taken many photographs, but as it turned out, the waterfall was not the main subject on this day.

Below the waterfall, the water flows through a jumble of mossy boulders. My attention was drawn to this small scene of a cascade with the many hues of green around it and the splashes of light on the rock.
