Planning organization is seeking sponsors and vendors
For the third consecutive year, Winchester will have a Pride + Inclusion Festival on Depot Street in October. A group of volunteers has met and begun preparations to continue the new tradition, which was initiated by Proud Town in 2023.
A new local nonprofit, A Life Worth Celebrating, Inc., is the organizing group behind the effort and is partnering with title sponsor Humanists of Winchester and community partner All Voices Reading Room.
The one-day event will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 11 AM to 5 PM on Depot Street in downtown Winchester. It is being billed as “a joyful, affirming, community-powered event that brings together LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, families, and organizations from across Clark County and beyond.”
The event will include live entertainment, local vendors and makers, food trucks & sweet treats, community booths, family activities, a community awards ceremony, live performances and more.
Project lead Crase Wilcoxson had this to say about the festival: “Whether you’re from Winchester or visiting for the day, you belong here. WPIF 2025 is about visibility, celebration, and creating a safer, more connected community — together.”
Festival organizers are now actively soliciting sponsors and vendors for the event. Businesses, food trucks, nonprofits, artists, and providers serving the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community are encouraged to participate. They are also seeking volunteers to assist with every phase of preparation and hosting the festival.
