Ghosts ramble on the roof
From below they bang
on the floor beneath
our bedroom.
They move things around our kitchen,
our dining room, too
Meanwhile, our cats-
all three—
race around
banging into doors
scratching on floors
hissing at each other
Loud enough and long
enough
that we crave the relative quiet
of our poltergeists.
