Thousands of residents and visitors attended the 45th Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival, downtown Winchester’s Labor Day Weekend arts and crafts festival, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
Although high winds caused havoc later in the day Saturday, those who came early enjoyed cloudy skies and mild temperatures.
About 140 booths and tents lined Main Street, selling everything from moonshine to pottery and representing groups from the Democratic Women’s Club of Clark County to the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Food included country ham sandwiches, street tacos, and ice cream.
Throughout both days, musicians performed for the crowds at the courthouse, and there were activities for children, including inflatables and a petting zoo.
