This paintÂing, incorÂpoÂratÂing plasÂter, was a study in texÂture, perÂspecÂtive and colÂor combinations.
Plaster was used to build up the cenÂtral porÂtion into a mounÂtain-like segÂment and the black shadÂow was paintÂed on to define the built-up segÂment and to sugÂgest varyÂing heights between the colÂored secÂtions, although all three colÂors are on the same plane. The thickÂness of the shadÂow lines sugÂgests that the blue segÂment lies above the gray segÂment and both lie above the earth-colÂored segment.
