On Tuesday, February 17, Clark County nonprofits gathered at Leeds Center for the Arts to learn more about the Clark County Community Foundation (CCCF) and to celebrate the incredible success of Bluegrass Gives 2025.

CCCF — not to be confused with the Greater Clark Foundation — is a fund managed by Bluegrass Community Foundation (BGCF) and directed by a local board of advisors. Since its inception in 1998, CCCF has awarded over $4 million in grants to Clark County nonprofits and charitable projects. Its endowment is currently at $9.7 million.

At last Tuesday’s event — dubbed the 2025 Grantmaking Review — attendees heard from each member of the board, which included Will Glasscock, Tracey Goebel, Ros Gay, Lisa Johns, and Mickey Little. Each director highlighted a few of the many local organizations that received funding from the foundation in 2025.

Also speaking was Will Hodgkin, who paid tribute to the late Ralph Oliver, who left $4 million in his will for the CCCF. Will was one of the five founders of the foundation, and his family foundation has contributed large sums to the foundation and its member organizations.

The highlight of the morning was a report on Bluegrass Gives 2025 — formerly the GoodGiving Challenge — by Halee Cunningham of BGCF. Thanks in large part to an over $431,000 matching grant pool from the Hodgkin Family Foundation and CCCF, 33 local nonprofits raised nearly one million dollars during the event. For context, Clark County nonprofits accounted for almost one-third of the total raised across BGCF’s 14‑county service area.

After the ceremony, WinCity Voices spoke with CCCF board chair Will Glasscock, who told us that the 33 local nonprofts that participated represented a record number and a record amount of funds raised.

“You know, a rising tide lifts all boats. So, the outsize amount of money coming from Clark County and going to Clark County nonprofits is amazing. It’s always been like that — we punch above our weight.”
