Allman Brothers Band
Idlewild South

This week I present my favorite Allman Brothers Band album. I had anticipated posting this earlier in my blogging career but as usual, this album never gets the credit it deserves and it was pushed out until now.
Also, I was listening to WUKY 91.3 today and they played “Revival” which I took as an omen to get busy. The dual percussionists and lead guitars really make the album work. It was quite unique in that respect at the time.
This one goes out to Tim down at WWKY because I know he likes the Allman Brothers. Maybe he’ll play “Midnight Rider” on the next “Mornings On Main.”
